Johnny to headline Kentucky Blues Festival...

On the road: Johnny will enjoy a few days of rest this week before heading off to Bowling Green, Kentucky, to headline next Saturday's (August 23) Kentucky Blues Festival. Tickets still available! In early September, he'll play a short string of northeast dates, starting at Stearns Square CitiBlock Concert Series in Springfield, Massachusetts on Thursday, September 4. That performance will be followed by two nights at the Bull Run Restaurant in Shirley, Massachusetts (Friday, 9/5 and Saturday 9/6), and the The Turning Point in Piermont, New York (Friday, 9/12).

More shows on sale! Johnny will play seven shows in California starting at the end of September, including his headlining stint at the San Francisco Blues Festival on Sunday, September 28. He'll also return to the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, Massachusetts in December. (Click here for ticket information.) Saw you guys at Clearwater Theater. Just stood mid-floor center stage and awe-struck the whole show, cause he still plays like the master he is. And his band seems to respect that though maybe he ain't so easy to be working with at this point in his life. I saw him in 75 at 17- wish I was old enough to see him at the Ann Arbor Blues Fest with Luther Allison. Hoping for a repeat performance at the Clearwater.
By the way there, that was some kick ASS bass, man.

Gee, that guy needs to play in Memphis at Morgan Freeman's Ground Zero Blues Club or atleast the one in Clarksdale, MS.

At Memphis in all reality he'd have to play at the New Daisy due to the size of the crowd.

I attend the Robin Trower show and I initially thought it wasn't going to be a very packed house. Boy was I surprised.

Memphis would be a natural place for Johnny since Gibson Custom is there. Time to pick up a new guitar or start playing that boomerang shaped Gibson.

Gee, ya know... I'd like to come to the show in Bowling Green only 150 miles away. But when you promise to take your mother dancing.

But Johnny Winters is a once in a lifetime guitar guy.

Wonder what's the chance of getting that guy to sign my "Road Work Live White Trash Album", brother Edgar album, but Johnny's on it too.

And it's in mint condition !
Album cover seen better days, though just found it today at a garage sale for $2.00

We saw Johnny play at the Kentucky Blues Festival in Bowling Green, KY over the weekend. He played and outstanding selection of blues tunes including Blackjack and Highway 61 Revisited. If he plays in your area, be sure to see him. He is truly a national treasure.
